I was in the toy shop the other day (to remain unnamed for legal purposes), spoiling for my tiny twin granddaughters (being a good Memaw, of course). Before I uncovered the Lil' Shopper play set I was troubled at many of the child toys I saw. I am a staunch adherent that healthy habits start at an infantile age, and one of the best ways to stress these healthful habits are through the toys we buy for our baby. On my shopping trip I noticed a few items that I believe epitomize healthy habit forming toddler toys, but none more noticeably than in the Lil Shopper play set. In so many other playthings, this was not the situation.
My granddaughters are now two years old and no longer infants, but are still under the age limit for some toys. The age recommendation on the Lil' shopper play set is 6 months, so it is not only supported for young kids, but you should get a lot of play out of the Lil' shopper as the manufacturer states that this plaything is good for kids up to the age of 18 months.
Included in the Lil' shopper play set is:
* A cabbage with crinkly leaves and semi-quiet rattle. Fun to look at as well as interact with.
* An apple with chimes when it moves (and not in that loud, obnoxious way either) and a crinkly leaf.
* An orange with a rattle in it (you probably need to put this up when you get a headache). It also opens and closes, so it is much more interactive than a typical rattle.
* A tiny blue milk carton with a covert mirror beneath the flap.
* A downy tiny green grocery bag that holds all of their foodstuffs.
* A banana that crinkles when it is peeled.
All in all the Lil' shopper play set is a great selection for your toddler. It is interactive as well as a fun tool to help reinforce healthful eating and shopping habits early in their little life cycle.
